Things did not go well for the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night.
The team fell 112-105 to the Denver Nuggets and is now in a 3-0 hole in the opening round of the playoffs.
There were a lot of problems for the Lakers during Game 3, including the output—or lack thereof—from D’Angelo Russell.
As pointed out by NBACentral, Russell scored 0 points during the game, going 0-of-7 from the field and 0-of-6 from beyond the three-point line.

Russell’s weak showing was not well received by basketball fans online.
Right when the final buzzer sounded, people hopped on Twitter to bash Russell and his terrible night.
“What a joke,” one user said and many Lakers fans agreed.
After a season that saw some disappointing lows and some very impressive highs, Russell’s season is ending negatively and his future with the team is in question.

“The ultimate hit or miss player,” another called Russell.
It’s hard to argue against that sentiment, especially when the guard did so well just a few nights before in Game 2.

Others said that it was only a matter of time before Russell turned into a “pumpkin.”
Always said (sadly) that he will turn into pumpkin in the playoffs vs Denver

“Ice in veins eventually melts I guess,” one user said, referencing Russell’s signature celebratory gesture.

After Thursday’s performance, there are many people who think that Russell’s time in Los Angeles might be coming to an end again.
If he does leave the Lakers, it’ll cap off a tenure that was filled with a lot of good and bad.
Russell’s showing in Game 3 was undeniably bad and it now overshadows everything else he has done in LA.
