The Pittsburgh Steelers left Sin City with a big and much-needed win on Sunday Night Football, but the excitement didn’t last long.
Mike Tomlin’s team suffered a bit of a scare, as their team plane had to be unexpectedly diverted to Kansas City early this morning, according to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Apparently, the team still remains on that same plane that left Las Vegas shortly before midnight (PDT) last night, and they’re currently waiting for another plane to get back to Pittsburgh.
The team was supposed to arrive home at 5:30 am local time.
The Steelers will hit the road again quite soon, as they have a date with DeMeco Ryans’ Houston Texans next Sunday.
Pittsburgh traveled to Las Vegas as three-point underdogs and fell behind 0-7 early in the game, but it didn’t take long before they were able to even things up.
Kenny Pickett had the first two-touchdown start of his young career, and their defense was as solid as usual.
Tomlin’s team has now won back-to-back games after that ugly outing in their season debut vs. the San Francisco 49ers, reaffirming their status as legit contenders out of the AFC North.
Their running game continues to struggle, and they could use some more explosiveness in their passing game outside of George Pickens, but this is a well-coached team with a bonafide defensive superstar and plenty of history on their side, so it won’t be easy to look past them this season.
