After an NFL offseason filled with game-changing moves and the re-signing of superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens headed into the 2023 NFL season with high hopes of being a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the AFC.
With two weeks in the books for the Ravens, Baltimore is living up to expectations, especially after being able to get the best over Joe Burrow and the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals over the weekend.
It was a game that came down to the wire, but in the end, Jackson and company came out on top, with the win over the Bengals turning some heads in terms of the Ravens being as advertised this season.
Richard Sherman of FOX Sports was impressed with what the Ravens were able to do against the Bengals, with Jackson showing his MVP form, via “Undisputed” on Monday.
“Ravens showed me they can win ugly and Lamar Jackson is showing his MVP form. They’re starting to look like the old Baltimore Ravens.”

Even though superstar newcomer Odell Beckham Jr. has been a bit of a disappointment over the first two games and is now dealing with an injury, the Ravens are getting a lot out of rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers, who has already had some big plays for Baltimore.
However, the Bengals don’t appear to be the dominant force they were last season, with the team having lost the first two games of the season to divisional opponents.
Burrow has struggled over the past two weeks and has reportedly re-injured his calf, which means it could be a long season for Cincinnati.
As for Baltimore, as long as this team can stay relatively healthy moving forward, it could be a successful season on the horizon for John Harbaugh’s squad.
