The Los Angeles Rams entered this season without their best receiver.
Cooper Kupp continues to struggle with an injury, and some fear he might not be back on the field for quite a while.
Fortunately for them, it seems like Matthew Stafford hasn’t missed him at all, and he’s already found a new favorite target.
Rookie WR Puka Nacua currently leads the league in receptions (25), even ahead of the likes of Justin Jefferson (20) and Stefon Diggs (17) (via StatMuse).

Nacua entered the league as a relatively unknown fifth-round pick, but he’s made an immediate impact on Sean McVay’s team.
He played college football at Washington before transferring to BYU, and he’s climbed his way up the depth chart in no time.
Thus far, he’s piled up 266 receiving yards, and while he has yet to find the end zone, he’s been the most prominent part of the Rams’ passing game this season.
Nacua even set a new mark for the most receptions through the first two games of an NFL career, and we already know the kind of monster seasons Stafford can help his receivers have.
Calvin Johnson and Kupp had two of the most memorable campaigns for a wide receiver, and while it’s still way too early to say that’s going to be the case with Nacua, he’s become the No. 1 must-add player in fantasy football leagues worldwide.
The Rams now have a date with the Cincinnati Bengals for a showdown on Monday Night Football, and he’ll look to keep adding to his tally.
