While the NFL deals with several concerns on a daily basis, renowned columnist Peter King called the league out to outlaw a play that the Philadelphia Eagles have become known for.
BroBible NFL writer Dov Kleiman, through the Eagles Nation Twitter account, shared excerpts of King’s thoughts about the Eagles’ “Tush-Push” quarterback sneak.
King argued, “I am on record last year many times loudly saying it’s an abomination. It’s an idiotic rule. And the NFL has made, in my opinion, a terrible mistake in not legislating a rugby play out of the NFL.”
The veteran NFL analyst added, “There’s only one logical reason why, and that is, in the NFL rules, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I can tell you there are significant, important people in the NFL that blanch every time they see this, and they just shake their head.”

The “Tush Push,” or lining up players behind the quarterback to push him across the end zone, is legal.
Jalen Hurts and the Eagles scored two quarterback sneaks of this nature during their Week 2 Thursday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Aside from King, some football fans also want the NFL to outlaw this rule.
In another tweet, Kleiman pointed out that the Eagles converted 36 of 40 quarterback sneaks last season.
