The Carolina Panthers didn’t have their new leader and franchise star in their Week 3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Bryce Young was forced to miss the game with an ankle injury he suffered in Week 2, but it was mostly a precaution.
Young was never expected to miss a prolonged period of time, and it seems like he’s going to be back behind center for this week’s clash.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, HC Frank Reich confirmed that Young would partake in today’s practice with no setbacks or limitations whatsoever.
#Panthers coach Frank Reich tells reporters that QB Bryce Young (ankle) will practice today. They worked him out yesterday, and he seems to be doing well.

They also worked him out yesterday and all signs point toward him suiting up for their clash vs. the Minnesota Vikings.
The Panthers currently sit at the bottom of the NFC South, and they’ll look for their very first win of the season vs. another winless team.
Young has shown glimpses of great play and decision-making, especially in the pocket, but his numbers have been somewhat underwhelming.
Through the first two weeks of the season, the reigning No. 1 pick completed just 59.2% of his passes for 299 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Obviously, all rookie and young QBs go through some growing pains, and no one expected him to dominate right out of the gate, but he doesn’t look as good when compared to fellow rookies Anthony Richardson or C.J. Stroud, albeit the sample size is limited.
Even so, the Panthers are in no rush to develop their potential franchise stalwart, and they’ll avoid taking any unnecessary risks with him going forward.
