With Aaron Rodgers no longer in town, the Green Bay Packers and their fans obviously have a lot of expectations about Jordan Love.
Some expect him to be the next big thing in the game, and others aren’t as bullish.
With that in mind, one would expect all eyes to be on him in the preseason.
However, now that he’s set to be a starter, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst revealed that he’s gone “back and forth” in regards to how much they’ll allow him to be on the field in the preseason.
As Packers insider Rob Demovsky pointed out, the team wants to give him snaps and allow him to showcase his talents, but they also want to keep him healthy.

Reports from the Packers’ camp have raved about Love’s improvement this offseason.
His teammates claim he’s ready to perform, also praising his work ethic, leadership skills, and how he’s handled this whole situation since he made it to the league as Rodgers’ backup.
Notably, the Packers will have most of their defense coming back, and that could give them a chance to be in the mix for a playoff spot, even if Love isn’t spectacular.
Gutekunst has been quite supportive of his young quarterback, and the NFC North could be up for grabs now more than ever, even without Rodgers in town.
The Packers will be a big question mark and a tough team to figure out early in the season.
But they do have a very good track record of finding and developing Hall of Famers at the QB position.
