The Baltimore Ravens didn’t want to spare any expenses or leave anything to chance this time around.
They played hardball with Lamar Jackson but eventually agreed to pay him what he was worth, and they didn’t stop there.
They also made one of the biggest signings of the offseason by getting Odell Beckham Jr. to join their former MVP.
Of course, expectations are at an all-time high now that the former New York Giants star has officially arrived at training camp.

Notably, the Ravens spent nearly three times as much as any other team would’ve given OBJ just to make sure to get him.
That was in the midst of their contract standoff with Jackson, showing him a sign of good faith and their desire to do right by him.
When healthy, OBJ is undeniably one of the best, most impactful offensive players in the game, and by a very long stretch.
He’s already the best offensive weapon Jackson has had at his disposal since he entered the league, and the Ravens finally gave him something to work with as a passer.
Needless to say, the big question is whether OBJ still has what it takes to make an impact, given his well-known history of injuries.
But if he manages to stay on the field, this team could make some noise and even take down the three biggest contenders in the AFC: The Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, and Buffalo Bills.
The game is always better when the best are healthy, and OBJ is definitely one of the best.
