In Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys were on a mission to put the rest of the league on notice that their defense is second to none this year.
Superstar linebacker Micah Parsons and company proceeded to put on a clinic against the division-rival New York Giants, as they went into MetLife Stadium and didn’t let up from start to finish, with quarterback Daniel Jones unable to get anything going offensively.
Ultimately, the Cowboys pulled off the 40-point blowout against the Giants, where they didn’t let New York do anything offensively despite coming off an impressive 2022 campaign.
In Week 2, America’s Team was determined to do the same thing to the visiting New York Jets, with young quarterback Zach Wilson in Parsons’ crosshairs.
Although the Jets were able to score 10 points on this elite defense, Parsons was a nightmare for Wilson, with this sack telling the story via the NFL’s Twitter account.

Parsons was a man possessed on Sunday in Dallas, as he recorded two sacks, four hits on the quarterback, three tackles for a loss, and a fumble recovery.
It’s early, but Parsons is already making a case for NFL Defensive Player of the Year, as he has Dallas humming on that side of the football while the team now sports an undefeated record of 2-0.
Next week, the Cowboys will look to keep it going, as they might put on another clinic on the road against the lowly Arizona Cardinals, who are winless after their first two games of the 2023 season.
