The Las Vegas Raiders got their most important addition of the offseason, and we — obviously — don’t mean Jimmy Garoppolo.
Following weeks of speculation, they signed three-time Pro Bowl CB Marcus Peters.
The 30-year-old reportedly impressed the team during a workout on Monday, and Raiders defensive star couldn’t hide his excitement about this signing on Twitter.

Peters will stay in Sin City for at least one season, giving their secondary defense a much-needed boost ahead of the campaign.
His numbers speak for themselves, as he has 32 interceptions, 342 total takeaways, and six interception-return touchdowns, all most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2015.
Notably, Peters knows this division like the back of his hand, as he used to play for the Kansas City Chiefs before taking his talents to the Los Angeles Rams and, eventually, the Baltimore Ravens.
The former No. 18 pick got a big payday after constantly ranking among the league’s top-notch ballhawks, but he suffered a torn ACL that kept him on the shelf through the entire 2021 season.
He struggled to be back at his best in 2022, allowing the highest passer rating in coverage in his career.
Nonetheless, he’s still young and physically imposing, and he has already had one season to get his legs back under him, so expectations are once again at an all-time high for him.
The Raiders allowed the fourth-most passing yards per game last season and were torched by big plays more often than not, and having him back to his usual self could be a major factor for them in 2023.
