The New England Patriots have looked better this season than they did last year, but they’re still 0-2 after two weeks.
They managed to make it a close game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1, and they also had a chance to tie things up late in the game vs. the Miami Dolphins in Week 2, but to no avail.
That’s why star edge rusher Matthew Judon believes the team needs to get going from the start and not wait until they fall behind by double digits before putting in their best effort.
As reported by Nick Coit, Judon states that the players can’t wait for their teammates and hope they make a play, and everybody needs to have a bigger sense of urgency and just bring in their energy right out of the gate.
More from Matthew Judon postgame on if he could pinpoint the team’s slow starts the first two weeks: “No. We gotta correct it. We gotta get it right.”

Judon states that they’re not a bad team despite what their record says, mostly because they’ve been able to get back into those games in the second half.
Even so, they just can’t afford to wait until the second half to be at their best, as it’s been too late both times thus far this season.
The Patriots have fared much better offensively this season, and their defense was already more than decent.
The Pats will look for their first win of the season on the road next week in another divisional clash.
They have a date with the New York Jets on deck, and it’s safe to say that Bill Belichick has had their number throughout the course of his career.
