The Baltimore Ravens were favored by as many as 7.5 points ahead of Sunday afternoon’s home clash vs. the Indianapolis Colts.
Despite being severely undermanned on both sides of the field, they were still expected to take care of business vs. Gardner Minshew and company, as star rookie QB Anthony Richardson would miss the game with a concussion.
As you may know by now, that wasn’t the case, as Minshew was efficient and did just enough to keep his team in the game, and the Colts defense made it difficult for Lamar Jackson and Todd Monken’s offense.
That’s why Jackson took to Twitter to apologize to Ravens fans and vowed to bounce back sooner rather than later after such a disappointing effort.

The Ravens trailed multiple times and failed to flip the script in the many chances they had to score six points, turning the ball over or failing to move the chains.
Things went so badly for John Harbaugh’s team that even Justin Tucker — the best kicker in the league — couldn’t hit one of his two field goal attempts.
Of course, Shane Steichen’s team deserves plenty of credit for this win as well.
This Colts team seems to be ahead of schedule, with a lot of hard-working players who will embrace their roles and do their jobs without hesitation or looking for glory.
They’ll turn back to Richardson as soon as he’s eligible to come back, and they could be one of the most entertaining teams to watch for years to come.
