Last year, one-possession games typically went in the Minnesota Vikings’ favor.
They’ve won several regular season matches that way, helping them clinch a playoff berth.
Things are not going in their favor this year, as they have started the season 0-3.
They had a shot at winning every game but couldn’t find a way to come out on top.
Instead, they’ve lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Los Angeles Chargers by a total of 13 points.
That’s an average of 4.3 points per game, meaning scoring another touchdown could have helped them win.
While those defeats are frustrating, veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins explained his mindset after the losses.
“I’m crawling in my skin driving home from the stadium on Sunday and the last two days. Golly, you’re sitting there in meetings, and you’re just frustrated. Because it matters to you.” Cousins said during a recent press conference.
Kirk Cousins spoke today about how losses like Sunday’s against the Chargers torment him.

Though the Vikings are still looking for their first victory, Cousins has been stellar during their first three games.
He leads the league with 1,075 passing yards and nine touchdowns.
Cousins also has completed 69.6 percent of his passes, the seventh-best among quarterbacks.
Cousins is playing in the final year of his contract.
If things continue to go south for the Vikings, they might look to trade him to get assets in return.
