Arizona Cardinals quarterback Joshua Dobbs has been doing well in Kyler Murray’s absence.
He hasn’t thrown an interception and led the team to an upset victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
While he has done enough to keep the Cardinals in every game through the first three weeks, he knows that Murray’s return is inevitable.
Therefore, he knows he will be relegated to the sidelines once the Pro Bowl quarterback returns to the field.
Dobbs shared his thoughts about the situation.
“It’ll be OK. I’ll manage it, he’ll manage it, we’ll be fine,” Dobbs said to Cardinals beat writer Darren Urban via BroBible NFL writer Dov Kleiman.

In the same article by Urban, Dobbs added, “I stay true to me. I’m excited to see Kyler come back. I have watched his game from afar for a while. It’s cool to meet him and be in the same room as him and be around him.”
The Cardinals finally made a breakthrough by defeating a Cowboys team that had dominated the first two weeks of the season.
Dobbs orchestrated a balanced attack against Dallas, finishing with 17 completions out of 21 attempts for 189 yards and a touchdown.
He also added 55 rushing yards on six rushes.
While it’s their first victory in 2023, the Cardinals have lost their first two games by only seven points.
They could have been 2-1 if not for the New York Giants’ furious Week 2 comeback.
Dobbs may not have eye-popping stats, but he’s doing what’s needed to keep the Cardinals fighting.
Retaining him at quarterback is a primary consideration, even if Murray becomes healthy.
