Outside of signing superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson to a long-term contract extension, the biggest move the Baltimore Ravens made during the NFL offseason was bringing in one-time Super Bowl champion wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
The addition of Beckham was thought to be a game-changer for the passing game in Baltimore, as Jackson has never had a player of that caliber to pass to on a weekly basis.
However, even though Beckham is as talented as they come at the position, even at 30 years old, he can be quite injury-prone.
In his first game with the Ravens against the Houston Texans, Beckham finished with only two catches for 37 yards and didn’t make much of an impression.
This week, it was more of the same from the veteran wide receiver, as he had three catches for 29 yards but left the game due to an ankle injury.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the injury doesn’t appear to be serious.

Obviously, even though head coach John Harbaugh said the ankle injury doesn’t seem to be serious, it is a cause for concern, as they brought Beckham in to be Jackson’s go-to guy downfield.
That go-to guy looks increasingly like rookie Zay Flowers, who led the team with nine catches on 10 targets last week for 78 yards and played well again this week with four more catches and 62 yards.
Even though Beckham’s status is concerning moving forward, the Ravens are 2-0 thus far, with the win over the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals being crucial in Week 2.
