There were a lot of storylines for the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of their Wild Card matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Eagles limped into the playoffs, making many wonder if they had a legitimate chance to fight for the NFC title again this year.
Another storyline revolved around the Kelce’s, a family that has been in the news throughout the season.
Jason Kelce, in many respects, is regarded as one of the best centers in the NFL, perhaps one of the best of all time.
While there was speculation around the possibility, Adam Schefter has officially confirmed that Kelce is officially retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons.
Six-time All-Pro and future Hall-of-Fame center Jason Kelce told his Eagles’ teammates in Monday night’s postgame locker room that he is in fact retiring, per league sources.

Schefter’s report indicates that Kelce made his teammates aware of his decision shortly after the conclusion of the game.
Kelce has been a staple of the Eagles’ dominant offensive line for several years, a big reason why their “tush push” has been so successful.
With this news in mind, fans are immediately sent into a tailspin, wondering what is next for both involved parties.
From the Eagles’ perspective, they’ll have the tall task of trying to replace a center that will likely end up in the NFL’s Hall of Fame.
Kelce’s next move is up in the air, whether he will continue running his successful podcast with his brother, take some time off, or enter into a new venture in the coming months.
Either way, this news has immediately shocked the NFL world, even if there was speculation surrounding it throughout the entire season.
