After having a breakout year last season, resulting in Jalen Hurts becoming a legitimate superstar quarterback and the Philadelphia Eagles reaching the Super Bowl, the defending NFC champions have gotten off to a solid start to the 2023 NFL season.
With three weeks in the books for the Eagles, Philadelphia is sporting one of only three undefeated records in the league, as Hurts and company made easy work of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.
One of the main reasons for the success of the Eagles this season has been the play of running back D’Andre Swift, who is coming off another impressive performance.
Although Swift has only found the end zone once thus far this season, he is doing a lot of damage in the run game, as he set a career-high of 175 rushing yards in the win over the Minnesota Vikings and followed that up with 130 rushing yards against the Buccaneers.
After the win over Tampa Bay, Hurts gave Swift some high praise for what he did on Sunday and has done throughout the season thus far, via NBC Sports Philadelphia.
“He’s been a big time player for us.”

As Hurts points out, Swift has been a “big-time player” for them and will need his consistent production in the run game to keep winning games moving forward.
In Week 4, the Eagles will look to keep it going against the division-rival Washington Commanders, who are coming off their first loss of the season to the Buffalo Bills.
The Commanders got crushed by the Bills in Week 3, losing by 34 points, so Washington will be looking to bounce back with a vengeance while the Eagles will try to remain undefeated.
