After an incredibly successful NFL career that spanned over a decade with the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals, future Hall of Famer J.J. Watt decided to retire because he had grown tired of the grind and constantly having to recover from injuries.
Although Watt seems more than content with his decision to end his playing career, that hasn’t stopped fans from trying to bring him out of retirement, with most of those fans being Pittsburgh Steelers faithful, who want him to join forces with his brother T.J. Watt.
J.J. Watt recently responded to a Steelers fan on Twitter who lobbied for him to play for Pittsburgh this season, as he made it clear that he’s got no intention of returning to the football field because he’s enjoying time with his wife, child, and being on the golf course with a beer and a hot dog in his hand.
Kelso, I appreciate the thought very much (and all the love from Pitt. I love you guys.)
But I spent the morning with my wife and 10 mo. old son and am now making the turn after the 9th hole with a Miller Lite in one hand and a hot dog in front of me…
Kinda beats practice.

That’s a classic and hilarious response from the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, as he’s clearly content with no longer dealing with everything that comes with being an NFL player, namely being on the practice field rather than the golf course.
Even though Watt is adamant about his stance to stay retired, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that he changes his mind at some point in the near future if he gets that itch or gets the chance to team up with T.J. in Pittsburgh.
However, for the time being, the seven-time All-Pro will continue his life away from the football field and enjoy all the things retirement can provide.
