It’s officially the dawn of a new era in the National Football League.
Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots have mutually agreed to part ways after a 24-year marriage that saw them become the ruling force in all of football.
It was about time the team went in a different direction, but Belichick is also fighting his own fight as he chases Don Shula for the most wins as a coach in NFL history.
With that in mind, we don’t expect Belichick to even consider retirement at this point.
That’s why Dan Graziano of ESPN reports that former LB and current assistant coach Jerod Mayo, Mike Vrabel, and Brian Flores are the likely successors in New England.
Expect to hear the Falcons and Commanders discussed as most likely Belichick landing spots in the coming days.

Vrabel will be a hot commodity and a sought-after coach now that he’s been shockingly let go by the Tennessee Titans, and he does know the Patriots’ way inside out.
As for Flores, he’s also a part of Belichick’s coaching tree, and it’s about time he gets another opportunity to coach in the league after the way he left the Miami Dolphins.
Whatever the case, it shouldn’t take long before we get some more news about Belichick and the Patriots’ future.
