Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari missed 22 regular season games in 2021 and 2022.
Unfortunately, he is set to miss more after an update from NFL Network national insider Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport tweeted, “#Packers All-Pro LT David Bakhtiari was officially placed on Injured Reserve today following arthroscopic knee surgery yesterday, sources say. Another surgery is planned in the coming weeks, one aimed at allowing him to play at full strength in 2024.”

Bakhtiari’s knee injury has lingered for years.
He only played 12 games during the 2020 season after suffering a torn ACL at practice.
But since he wasn’t fully recovered, he was placed on injured reserve to begin the 2021 season.
It meant that he could return to action as early as Week 5.
However, he ended up being inactive in all but one regular season game.
A year later, he showed some improvement by suiting up in 11 games.
However, that’s nothing compared to the five seasons wherein he played every regular season game.
Sadly for the Packers, Bakhtiari is set to miss more time after being on IR again.
With more games missed, is it time for the Packers to find Bakhtiari’s successor?
A two-time First-Team All-Pro tackle will be difficult to replace.
Still, it is tough to gamble on a guy who has been saddled with injuries.
