Last season, the New York Giants were one of the NFL’s big surprises, as they won six of their first seven games, made the playoffs, and upset the 13-4 Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round.
But this season was a different story, and it resulted in them missing the playoffs by a mile.
Granted, starting quarterback Daniel Jones was limited to six games because of a season-ending torn ACL, but it became clear that the team needs plenty of help in order to become competitive once again.
They made one change on Thursday by hiring Carmen Bricillo, the Las Vegas Raiders’ former offensive line coach, to be their new offensive line coach, per Ian Rapoport.

Many feel New York had one of the NFL’s worst offensive lines this season, and it resulted in dozens of sacks for the three quarterbacks they used throughout the season.
After Jones went down, rookie Tommy DeVito ended up getting a chance to start under center beginning in late October.
After losing his first three games in a row, DeVito then led the Giants to a three-game winning streak, and for a minute, he was the toast of the New York City area.
The fact that he grew up in nearby Livingston, N.J. and is of Italian descent made him a riveting story in the area.
But all the hype faded as the Giants lost three of their last four games and were eliminated from playoff contention.
They will have some difficult decisions to make, starting with what to do with star running back Saquon Barkley, who will become a free agent and briefly held out of training camp because he wanted a lucrative extension.
