Chandler Jones has yet to play a snap for the Las Vegas Raiders this season, and no one is sure exactly why, but his recent behavior online is starting to cause some concerns.
Some of Jones’ recent posts online have included things like wanting the Raiders to fire head coach Josh McDaniels and saying he’ll “expose” some things he knows about Las Vegas owner Mark Davis.
Former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III is among those who have expressed their concern about Jones, and on Thursday, the former signal-caller made a plea to the public.
Let’s all pray for Chandler Jones and his family. I don’t know what’s going on with him right now, but after everything I have seen I do know he needs to feel like he is being heard in this moment. I reached out to him and encourage all of his NFL brothers to do the same.

Currently, Jones is on the Raiders’ reserve/non-football illness list, so he isn’t taking up a spot on the team’s active roster.
With the way things have been recently going, however, it’s difficult to imagine him ever playing for Las Vegas again unless things drastically change in the near future.
This year was supposed to be Jones’ 12th in the NFL and his second as a member of the Raiders, but it’s possible that his recent behavior online will result in his time in the league coming to an end by the conclusion of the current season.
Before joining Las Vegas last year, Jones spent six seasons as a member of the Arizona Cardinals and four years with the New England Patriots.
During his tenure with the Cardinals, he emerged as one of the most dominant pass rushers in the entire NFL, accumulating a total of 61 sacks in six seasons.
At the age of 33, Jones’ time in the league was likely already inching closer to the end, but most probably didn’t think it would be the result of concerning online behavior.
