The NFL is cracking down more than ever on hits in games that are deemed to be dangerous and could cause serious injuries.
In Week 2, one of the worst hits of the season so far was put on tight end Logan Thomas of the Washington Commanders, with Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson crushing the 32-year-old after a catch in the endzone.
Jackson seemed to go straight for Thomas’ head on Sunday, which left the veteran tight end in bad shape on the ground.
Ultimately, Jackson was kicked out of the game for his hit, and Thomas was ruled out for the rest of the contest due to a concussion he sustained as a result of the illegal hit.

Why do they keep allowing Sean Payton defense always having headhunters?

Clearly, a lot of fans were disgusted by Jackson’s hit on Thomas, and rightfully so, as that could’ve resulted in a serious injury on top of the concussion.
Along with being ejected, Jackson will almost certainly be assessed a considerable fine by the league for his hit, as it was completely irresponsible and could’ve done real damage.
As for the game itself, the Commanders are still in the mix to come out on top against Sean Payton’s Broncos in an effort to start the season with a perfect 2-0 record and get the Josh Harris era off to a good start.
As for Payton, the Broncos are trying to bounce back from losing to the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1.
