The New York Jets have a big problem on their hands, and it’s nothing new.
Zach Wilson has struggled on the field, and their once-promising season could go down the drain now.
Granted that the expectations got lower without Aaron Rodgers, but Wilson’s struggles make it seem like making the playoffs would be a miracle.
That’s why two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning wanted to offer a piece of advice for the struggling youngster, via “First Take.”

First, Manning advised him not to read the papers or turn on the news or anything like that.
Then, on a more serious note, he encouraged him to reach out to OC Nathaniel Hackett and talk about the playbook.
He stated that the playbook was built around Rodgers and all the plays he likes and thrives with.
So, Wilson should talk about the plays he knows he can get a completion with and know what his reads are regardless of the coverage.
Truth be told, that would be a nice start.
Hackett and the coaching staff should also pivot and make adjustments to try and make the most of Wilson’s skills so he doesn’t look so bad out there.
Manning also said that it’s not like the Jets need to put up 40 points per game because of their stellar defense, so these baby steps might be just what they need to turn things around.
Also, that could be the only thing that’s still left to try before finally giving up on Wilson.
