The Jacksonville Jaguars’ 2023 campaign has gone sideways after their impressive season-opening victory.
Since then, they’ve lost two games against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans.
They were favored to win against the Texans, but C.J. Stroud had other plans.
While the Jaguars find ways to bounce back into the win column, wide receiver Calvin Ridley must also find his rhythm.
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson shared his quick interaction with Ridley after their Week 3 loss via Pro Football Talk.
“I grabbed him coming off the field, and I reiterated to him to take a deep breath, stay locked in, stay engaged. I told him he was a big part of our system and the offense, and he’s going to have a lot of success.” Pederson said.

The Jaguars traded for Ridley last year during his indefinite suspension for betting on games.
He made a splash during his debut with Jacksonville, finishing with eight catches for 101 yards and a touchdown.
But since then, he has five catches for 72 yards in two games.
His struggles have been a topic of discussion in Jacksonville’s two-game losing streak.
Ridley has 173 receiving yards through three games, putting him in a tie with Christian Kirk and Evan Engram.
The Alabama product is better than his current pace, as proven by his All-Pro selection in 2020.
That year, he torched the league with 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns.
Rediscovering that form will help Ridley and the Jaguars compete against the AFC’s best.
