Coaching at the NFL level isn’t for everyone as there have been plenty of people who have come from the collegiate ranks just to find themselves back there.
Making the jump requires a certain type of person who’s not only able to think of schemes and X’s and O’s, but also lead grown men.
However, one popular name that’s gaining steam as a potential NFL head coach is Deion Sanders who has turned Colorado into one of the surprise teams this college season.
The Buffaloes are currently 2-0 with impressive wins over TCU and Nebraska and Sanders has been credited with changing the program’s trajectory in just his short stint so far.
Colorado is set to take on Colorado St. and are considered massive favorites which would give Sanders a perfect 3-0 record if they come out with the win.
Sanders looks like a perfect fit to lead an NFL team but he made his feelings clear on coaching in the professional ranks via Barstool Colorado.
“I ain’t going to the NFL,” Sanders said.
Despite the many rumors that Deion Sanders might jump to the NFL, he says: “I ain’t going to the NFL.”

It’s a bit surprising to hear that Sanders wouldn’t want to try to elevate his coaching career as he would surely have interested teams if a head coaching spot opened up.
However, Sanders has also discussed that it would be hard for him to motivate and groom professional players who are making millions of dollars already.
Whatever his rationale is, there’s no doubt that Sanders could make it work on the NFL sidelines though Colorado must be happy he’s committed to staying.
