The New England Patriots owe most of their success to Tom Brady, but Bill Belichick has also played a big part in that.
Belichick is an old savant, and he knows every single trick in the book.
He’s never hesitated to think outside of the box and bend the rules in his favor, up to the point where he’s literally been accused of cheating.
This time, however, he won’t even need to spy to get some inside information on the Dallas Cowboys‘ game plan and signals.
According to Todd Archer, they’re concerned about the fact that they just signed QB Will Grier off the Cincinnati Bengals’ practice squad, and given that he spent some time with the organization, they fear he’s going to give them some inside info.
Patriots signed QB Will Grier last week off Bengals PS, so the Cowboys will alter their hand signals, calls this week. Brian Schottenheimer: “We know Will knows where a lot of the bones are buried. We know Zeke does as well … I’m sure (Grier) is definitely being interrogated.”

Per Archer, the Cowboys will reportedly look to modify most of their signals in an attempt to trick Grier, who, according to them, ‘knows where a lot of the bones are buried.’
The same goes for former Cowboys star Ezekiel Elliott, who has played a minimal role in Bill O’Brien’s offense thus far.
Elliott spent his entire career with the Cowboys before arriving in Foxboro late in the offseason, and he should be extremely motivated to stick it to his former team after they cut him loose.
Grier may not play a single snap behind center for the Patriots this season; he might not even be in the building two weeks from now.
But the Pats will definitely make the most of every single edge they can get, whether it’s minor or major.
