Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins has been lighting up the stat sheet in the first two weeks of the 2023 NFL season.
He has 64 completions for 708 yards, six touchdowns, and only one interception.
Yet, as great as he was during those games, both were Vikings losses.
Several factors other than him could be blamed for Minnesota’s shortcomings.
The defense has not played well, the offensive line is injury-riddled, and Alexander Mattison is struggling.
But Colin Cowherd offered a different perspective, saying that Cousins is ultimately the Vikings’ problem.
The FS1 personality suggested that it’s time for Minnesota to move on from Cousins.
In a recent episode of The Herd, Cowherd said, “You can get A’s on all the midweek tests. It’s the midterm and the final that are weighted differently.”

Cowherd shared his opinion by stating Kirk Cousins’ record during nationally televised football games.
The quarterback has a 4-5 record on Thursday Night Football and a 4-4 record on NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
But the most shocking stat is Cousins’ 2-10 record in Monday Night Football games.
He is also 12-38 against NFL teams that made the playoffs in the same season.
Leading the Vikings to playoff wins is something Cousins has struggled with throughout his career.
Last season, the Vikings lost their Wild Card Round match at home against the New York Giants.
Cowherd sees no other option but to ship Cousins elsewhere and get something in return.
