After superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers went down with a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 1 against the division-rival Buffalo Bills, Zach Wilson and company were still able to get the win, which gave the New York Jets some hope that the team might still be able to compete without Rodgers.
Unfortunately, that win over the Bills is the last one the Jets were able to record without Rodgers, as the team has lost consecutive games to the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots.
Along with suffering the devastating blow of losing Rodgers to a season-ending injury, the Jets have had one of the hardest schedules in the league to start the 2023 NFL season, and it won’t get any easier in Week 4 when they host Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The defending Super Bowl champions seem to be back to form after a couple of shaky performances to start the season, which doesn’t bode well for the Jets, especially when the Chiefs defense doesn’t view Wilson and company as much of a threat.
Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay made some pretty candid comments when he was asked how he views Wilson and the Jets offense, via Aaron Ladd of KSHB 41 News.

The matchup with the Chiefs will be the toughest challenge for the Jets thus far this season as they’ll have their hands full with Mahomes and Travis Kelce on defense while trying to put up points against Chris Jones and the Kanas City defense.
In all likelihood, it will be a third straight loss for the Jets, with the team still needing to address the quarterback position, as Wilson will likely struggle with Jones coming after him every single play.
