The 2023 NFL regular season should be considered a success for the Dallas Cowboys as they made a run to capture the NFC East title and earned the No. 2 seed in the NFC.
The Cowboys caught fire in the second half of the season and look like a real threat to make the Super Bowl for the first time in decades.
Dak Prescott played an MVP level throughout the year, while the defense carried the team to several victories.
Head coach Mike McCarthy did a solid job navigating the team through the early part of the season when they weren’t playing particularly well offensively.
However, now McCarthy must deal with his former team in the Green Bay Packers when they host them for Wild Card weekend.
Losing to his former team would sting, and Emmanuel Acho believes a loss could cost him his job via Speak.
“I don’t think Mike McCarthy can afford to lose against the Packers this weekend,” Acho said.

The Packers are one of the youngest rosters in the league and barely made the postseason, but that doesn’t mean the Cowboys can underestimate them.
Green Bay saw major improvement from Jordan Love and their offense has enough talent and playmaking on it to give Dallas some trouble potentially.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has done everything he can to put his team in the best position to win a championship, and if they fall short most of the finger-pointing will be at McCarthy.
McCarthy faces a lot of pressure to pull off a win and advance, so it’ll be interesting to see how Dallas does.
