The Philadelphia Eagles continue to free-fall.
Nick Sirianni’s team hasn’t looked the same this season, and they’ve had a tough time bouncing back from their losses to the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys.
They crumbled under pressure against the already-eliminated Arizona Cardinals, giving former defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon the ultimate revenge by beating them in a must-win game.
However, as surprising as this might seem for most fans, NFL analyst Craig Carton believes we should’ve seen this coming.
“When the Eagles lost to the Jets, we should’ve known right then and there that there was something wrong with them,” Carton said.

Talking on The Carton Show, the pundit claimed that, in hindsight, everybody should’ve known the Eagles had a problem when they lost to the New York Jets.
This is coming from a bona fide Jets fan, so it’s not like he’s biased.
The Jets have one of the best defenses in the league, and they gave Jalen Hurts a lot of problems, but their offense never ranked among the best in the league.
The Eagles were 10-1 at one point in the season, boasting the best record in the league by a significant margin.
Fast forward to today, and they’re 11-5, going 1-4 in their past five games and losing their chance to win the NFC East Division and get the No. 2 seed in the NFC.
The Dallas Cowboys are now in control of the division, and the Eagles are stumbling their way into the Wild Card round.
And even though they have the talent to overcome this, they don’t look like a team that has enough faith in their game right now.
