At one point during the regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles felt like they would run through the NFC.
They seemed to be on a similar pace to their outstanding 2022 season, and then, for whatever reason, the wheels seemed to fall off the bus.
After starting the season so well, the Eagles started losing games, including contests many believed would be easy wins.
Now that they are entering the playoffs, Craig Carton wonders if the Eagles can recapture their magic.
Carton said that the Eagles “quit against the New York Giants,” a potential sign that the team isn’t playing their best football at the moment.
He asked, “How in the world is that offense gonna score?”
“How do you expect Jalen Hurts and that offense now to be kicking on all cylinders when you essentially haven’t practiced? And let’s not forget, the Eagles quit against the New York Giants. How in the world is that offense gonna score?”

The Eagles take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their Wild Card matchup this weekend.
While the Eagles might seem like the better team, at least on paper, Carton is worried about their chances to win.
Several of their key players are banged up, including A.J. Brown, Reed Blankenship, and Jalen Hurts.
They also lost Sydney Brown to an ACL injury last week, a devastating blow to their already injured secondary.
It will be interesting to see if this team comes out with a fire and a fury against the Buccaneers, something they haven’t shown in recent weeks.
It could spell trouble for the Eagles if they start slowly, especially with the passion the Buccaneers have played with lately.
Can they find a way to dig deep and win this game, advancing to the divisional round of the playoffs?
