The New York Jets’ season has been something of a roller coaster.
After losing Aaron Rodgers in their season opener, it seemed as though this team was destined to underwhelm their preseason expectations.
They are still in the playoff hunt without Rodgers, but to keep their hopes alive, they will have to go on a winning streak.
The Jets face the Miami Dolphins in Week 12, a game that is said to be a must-win.
Craig Carton discussed this game on his show, saying: “If the Jets lose to the Dolphins on Black Friday, their season’s over.”

Is Carton’s bold statement correct?
With a loss to the Dolphins, the Jets would fall to 4-7 on the year.
This would keep them in third place within the division, but because of the continued strength of the AFC, a path toward a playoff berth seems unlikely.
A win keeps them in the hunt, which could give this team the fuel they need to keep fighting.
Rodgers is rumored to want to return to the field late in the season.
For him to want to return, however, he would need a reason to come back.
If the Jets are out of the playoff race, it might make more sense for Rodgers to get back to 100% health, returning to the Jets in 2024 to get a fresh start.
A lot seems to be riding on the Jets’ matchup with the Dolphins on Black Friday.
They are currently 8.5-point underdogs, but anything can happen in the craziness of the NFL season.
