One of the most interesting storylines of the NFL offseason was the recovery of Brock Purdy.
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback flashed onto the scene last year after starting the year as a third-string quarterback.
Purdy led the 49ers into the playoffs and to the NFC Championship Game before suffering a serious elbow injury.
He needed surgery in the offseason to repair the issue and it was uncertain when he would be able to return.
Luckily, it appears he will be ready to go for the beginning of training camp.
According to Adam Schefter, 49ers GM John Lynch said Purdy has been “cleared without restriction.”

This is fantastic news for the 49ers who now will watch Purdy compete for the starting QB job this offseason.
It will be Purdy and Trey Lance dueling it out for the starting quarterback job.
Lance was expected to be the long-term starter in San Francisco when they selected him third overall in 2021.
But with the way Purdy played last season, the 49ers have a real QB controversy on their hands.
Purdy went 5-0 to end the regular season and then won his first two playoff games.
Even though he may be limited as a passer, he fit in perfectly with what the Niners were trying to do on offense.
With a full offseason of repetitions ahead of him he should be able to get up to speed quickly.
It appears the 49ers hope Purdy can win the job and that they can use Lance as a trade chip.
But all of that will have to be decided over the next month.
