Are the Charlotte Hornets going to be good in the upcoming season?
Fans of the team are hopeful that the Hornets can finally start to turn things around in 2023-24 but most people aren’t holding their breath.
However, incoming rookie Brandon Miller might be the boost of energy that the team needs.
Head coach Steve Clifford has faith in the young forward.
According to Steve Reed, Clifford praised Miller, who was the second pick in the draft back in June.
Clifford stated that Miller is a “throwback player” and that he “gets the ball, moves and cuts.”
Steve Clifford praised No. 2 pick Brandon Miller for being a quick learner. Said he is a throwback player. Said he gets the ball, moves and cuts. Loves his positional size.

This would definitely be helpful for the Hornets in the seasons ahead.
There is no doubt that the Hornets have a lot of young, albeit untested, talent.
Players like PJ Washington, Terry Rozier, and LaMelo Ball are all fun to watch and hold individual talent.
Yet, the team is still one of the worst in the NBA.
Last season, they ended up as the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference with a rough 27-55 record.
A large part of that is because of injuries that plague the team.
The team’s biggest star, Ball, only played in 36 games last season.
Without him, the Hornets entered a bit of a holding pattern and weren’t able to develop much and find success.
The idea of a throwback player in Charlotte is good news to fans.
If Miller really can deliver on the things that Clifford sees, he will be a strong all-around player.
He would be able to fill the void left during injuries and also move past opponents.
He could be a huge help to the Hornets when they need it most.
