Since making the championship game of the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament, the Indiana Pacers have slipped down the standings and currently sit in eighth in the Eastern Conference.
The Pacers, like the Los Angeles Lakers, appear to be suffering from a hangover from the IST and are looking to claw their way back up.
Indiana’s a talented young group headlined by superstar Tyrese Haliburton, though he could use more help if he hopes to play in more big games.
Flanking him in the paint is Myles Turner who’s having another strong two-way season so far.
Turner’s been a frequent trade target for several years now, but it appears that he’s going to be sticking with the Pacers for the foreseeable future given the trajectory they’re on.
Turner and Indiana missed the postseason last season, but the center made sure to treat the team staff anyway via League Alerts.
“Myles Turner gifted the entire Pacers staff a total of $60K last season after not receiving a bonus when the team missed the playoffs,” per League Alerts.

Although the amount might not seem like much to NBA fans, it’s quite the gesture from Turner considering how many staffers the team has.
That sort of generosity is rare among players, so it’s good to hear that Turner made sure to take care of the staff.
However, Turner and the Pacers organization are certainly hoping that their fortunes are different this season as this squad definitely has the makings of a team that can make some noise come the playoffs.
