Damian Lillard wanted to move from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Miami Heat.
He made it very clear that his dream destination was with Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and the rest of the Heat team.
But that didn’t happen and the Blazers sent him to the Milwaukee Bucks instead.
The Bucks have been one of the best teams in the league for years but some people feel that the Blazers treated Lillard poorly by not giving him what he wanted.
NBA star Austin Rivers disagrees.
“Anybody saying that Portland did Damian Lillard wrong is out of their f—–g mind,” Rivers said on SiriusXM NBA Radio Thursday morning.

Rivers said that Lillard going to the Bucks is a “best-case scenario” for the iconic guard.
For years now, he has said that his ultimate goal is winning a championship.
Although he would have certainly had a chance to do that with the Heat, he definitely has a very big chance of also doing it alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee.
While he won’t be living in the location that he had in mind, the probability of him winning his first ring just skyrocketed.
There are many who feel that the Blazers are actually rewarding Lillard with this trade, while still looking out for their own interests too.
They didn’t want a deal that would leave them without a future in a post-Lillard era.
Through this trade, they got a big man they wanted and they also have Jrue Holiday, who they can flip for more assets.
As for Lillard, he is set up to find the postseason success he has always wanted.
It didn’t work out exactly as he imagined but Lillard might be very happy with the Blazers right now.
