The other day, NBA legend Dwyane Wade revealed that the inspiration to bring LeBron James to the Miami Heat was seeing the Los Angeles Lakers dominate in the postseason.
Wade claims that when he witnessed LA win another title, he picked up the phone and tried to entice James to join him in Miami.
The video of Wade saying this was making the rounds online the other day and former Lakers star Lamar Odom saw it.
He responded on Twitter, saying: “So you telling me Bean was the reason why The Heatles were assembled. Yeah that sounds about right.”

Bryant and his Lakers, featuring Odom, won back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010.
That was enough to get Wade fired up and eager to win another ring.
At that point in his career, he had already nabbed one in 2006.
He wanted another and knew that was much more likely if he had additional help.
At the time, there was no bigger help than James, who was still playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers at that time.
By picking up the phone that night, Wade set in motion events that would ultimately lead to a new big three in Miami (himself, James, and Chris Bosh) as well as tons of success.
In 2012 and 2013, Wade, James, and the Heat won back-to-back titles as well.
That shows that Wade was smart to give James a call and convince him to move.
Winning consecutive championships is very hard and many NBA teams have failed to do it.
Wade and Odom are part of a very special club within the league.
