With the NBA trade deadline only a few weeks away on February 8, the rumors swirling around the league are starting to kick into high gear, with it becoming more and more clear which potential game-changing players might be on the move.
One big-name player that continues to be mentioned in trade rumors on a daily basis is guard Dejounte Murray of the Atlanta Hawks, with the team seemingly determined to trade him before the deadline because the backcourt duo with superstar Trae Young simply isn’t working.
As of right now, there are quite a few teams around the league that have shown interest in Murray’s services, meaning the asking price could be on the rise or at least fluctuating with so many teams wanting to get their hands on the one-time All-Star.
According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, via NBACentral, the asking price for Murray in these trade talks is two first-round draft picks.
The Atlanta Hawks are looking for 2 1st-round picks for Dejounte Murray, per @KevinOConnorNBA
“From people I’ve spoken with, the Hawks are asking for two firsts in return for Murray, who would prefer to join a team with a chance to make an immediate playoff run. So far, no one… pic.twitter.com/ka2zzC0JoH

Unfortunately for the Hawks, it doesn’t appear that interested teams are willing to give up two first-round draft picks in exchange for Murray, which could make things tough to get a deal done in the coming weeks.
Along with Murray, other notable players that could get moved before the NBA trade deadline next month are Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins, and Pascal Siakam, who all could receive considerable interest before February 8.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens with these players and what teams are willing to wheel and deal before the buzzer sounds on the deadline in a few weeks.
