The Golden State Warriors entered the last NBA season as defending champions, but they couldn’t live up to those expectations.
The Warriors had some chemistry issues in the offseason, and Draymond Green’s altercation with Jordan Poole prevented him from speaking up and trying to hold his teammates accountable.
A whole year has passed since their last championship, and NBA teams often age in dog years unless they make some major moves.
That’s why former NBA champion Antonio Daniels believes the Warriors’ title window might be closing soon.
In his latest appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio, he argued that even though Stephen Curry will always give them a chance to win, they need Klay Thompson to be at their best as well, as he’s not getting any younger.
How much more time do the Golden State Warriors have to win with their current core?

Granted that Curry is actually older than Thompson, but Klay looked gassed at the end of last season, as opposed to No. 30.
He believes that the Warriors can’t win again with Andrew Wiggins as their second-best player, and not having Thompson at his usual level could pretty much put the last nail in the dynasty’s coffin.
Thompson has always been one of the most impactful players on Steve Kerr’s team.
He’s kind of lost a step defensively, but he’s still one of the greatest shooters this game has ever seen.
The Warriors added some depth in the offseason, and while the Chris Paul experiment is going to be odd and fun to watch, the years have shown us that it’s hard to rule them out.
