After months of wanting the Portland Trail Blazers to trade him, Damian Lillard was sent to the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday in a three-team trade that is sure to shake up the race for the 2024 NBA championship.
The Bucks, who were already among the teams with a real shot at winning it all, are now considered by many to be the favorites to take home the Larry O’Brien Trophy next summer, as they now have Lillard, two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and several solid role and complementary players.
During his spare time, Lillard is also a hip-hop artist under the name “Dame D.O.L.L.A.,” and he dropped a new single with some lyrics directed at his now-former employer, via Bleacher Report.

Lillard is ending an 11-year tenure with the Blazers, and while he had previously proclaimed his loyalty to the team, he had experienced nothing but frustration with them.
The Blazers had reached the Western Conference Finals just once, only to get swept there in 2019 by the Golden State Warriors, and they would usually lose in the first round of the playoffs.
The last two seasons, they didn’t even reach the postseason, as they have gone with a youth movement.
In Milwaukee, Lillard will be on a team that is absolutely stacked, and while some feel it may have some defensive issues, it will have no excuse, barring injury, to not win the world championship this season.
For the first time in his career, he will have a real shot at earning a ring.
