There is now some doubt that James Harden will ever make his way to the Los Angeles Clippers as he hopes.
The Philadelphia 76ers star has made it clear that he wants to play in LA next season.
For their part, the Sixers have allegedly listened to offers from the Clippers but are unwilling to agree to a deal that doesn’t check all of their boxes.
Additionally, the Clippers aren’t looking to send over some of their best assets, such as Terance Mann.
According to Kyle Neubeck, per NBACentral, the Clippers won’t budge on Mann, and “there has been hesitation for anyone to offer up what the Sixers feel is proper value.”
All of this complicates the Harden trade and puts it in jeopardy.
The Clippers are reluctant to trade Terance Mann for James Harden, per @KyleNeubeck

Neubeck reports that the Clippers and Harden’s representation have been trying to “meet in the middle” about a possible trade.
Yet, Harden’s management hasn’t been too pleased with the pace of things.
That pace doesn’t seem to be speeding up.
Much like the situation between the Portland Trail Blazers and Miami Heat over Damian Lillard, this one has crawled to a halt.
Mann averaged 8.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists last season and started in his most games yet.
It looks like he could become an important part of the team in the future.
Therefore, you cannot blame the Clippers for not wanting to ship him away.
But holding onto Mann might mean missing out on Harden.
Because of Harden’s insistence on coming to the Clippers, these two teams are forced to work together.
However, they are on completely different wavelengths right now.
Plus, they have only so many offers they can negotiate on.
The longer this goes on and the more that both sides dig in their heels, the more likely it is that Harden is forced to stay in Philadelphia for the next few months.
