The Miami Heat have shown strong interest in trading for Damian Lillard ever since the Portland Trail Blazers superstar demanded a trade earlier this summer.
Lillard has named the Heat as his preferred destination to be traded.
Trail Blazers’ head coach Chauncey Billups and Kyle Lowry were spotted hanging out with each other at the recent Colorado college football game via NBACentral on Twitter.

The image went viral and stirred several rumors about Billups potentially recruiting Lowry to the Trail Blazers.
Lowry is all set to make $29.6 million next season and could be a great piece in the trade for Lillard.
However, the 37-year-old is no longer in the prime of his career and averaged just 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game over 55 games last season.
Moreover, Billups and Lowry have a long-standing friendship, so there’s nothing special about it.
Lastly, if Billups was seen talking to a crucial part of the Heat’s core, such as Tyler Herro or Bam Adebayo, it could have been bigger news.
After all, either of those players will most likely be included in a potential trade for Damian Lillard.
For now, the potential Lillard to Heat trade remains at a stalemate between the two parties.
