The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the youngest, most exciting teams in the entire NBA.
They have transformed from a team that was losing by historic margins to a squad that is now in contention for the top spot in the West.
As noted by Brandon Rahbar on Twitter, the team has come a long way in a very short amount of time.
“2 years 1 month ago: OKC lost by 73 points. Tonight: OKC won by 62 points,” Rahbar tweeted.
He added: “Beginning of last season: Thunder was bottom 3 in Vegas preseason win odds. Halfway through this season: Thunder is tied for #1 in the West.”

On Thursday night, the Thunder destroyed the Portland Trail Blazers by 62 points, recording the biggest win in franchise history.
But back in 2021, Oklahoma City was experiencing the other end of that equation as they were taken down by 73 points by the Memphis Grizzlies.
That was the biggest blowout in NBA history and was used as motivation to win big on Thursday.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was a huge part of the team’s big win, scoring a game-high 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Meanwhile, Josh Giddey became the first NBA star to earn a triple-double in less than 25 minutes and not miss a shot.
The Thunder now have a 26-11 record, which is tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves, the best team in the West.
For years, NBA fans have said that the Thunder are a team to watch.
After many seasons of rebuilding, acquiring draft picks, and making smart moves, the time has come for Thunder fans to expect the best from their team.
Next week, the Thunder will square off against the Timberwolves, which will be a game that all fans pay attention to in order to decide who really rules the Western Conference.
