The All-Star break is fast approaching.
Soon the baseball world will get a chance to see the best and brightest stars from the American League and National League square off in the All-Star Game.
But before that, we’ll have the Home Run Derby to look forward to.
The Derby always consists of eight sluggers who slug it out to determine the winner.
Recently, the format changed to matchups within the Derby, as players are seeded and battle against each other in the first two rounds to determine who moves on to the next round.
The bracket for this year’s Derby is officially set.
On Twitter, MLB insider Jeff Passan posted the bracket and the matchups in this year’s Derby, which will take place at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on Monday.
The Home Run Derby bracket is out, and it looks like this (seeds in parentheses):
Luis Robert (1) vs. Adley Rutschman (8)
Pete Alonso (2) vs. Julio Rodríguez (7)
Mookie Betts (3) vs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (6)
Adolis García (4) vs. Randy Arozarena (5)

The top-seeded slugger is Luis Robert of the Chicago White Sox, and he will be squaring off against Baltimore Orioles star catcher Adley Rutschman, who is listed as the No. 8 seeded slugger.
Pete Alonso of the New York Mets is returning to the Derby for the fourth straight year and will occupy the No. 2 seed.
The two-time Derby champion will be opposed by Seattle Mariners slugger and reigning Rookie of the Year Julio Rodriguez, the No. 7 seeded slugger.
The 3-6 matchup will feature Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts as he squares off against Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Finally, the 4-5 matchup is one consisting of Adolis Garcia of the Texas Rangers and Randy Arozarena of the Tampa Bay Rays.
The winner of each matchup will move on to the next round.
