In the last couple of years, MLB teams have been popularizing cool ways of celebrating a home run.
The home run sombrero, the home run cart, the home run this, the home run that… it’s actually a cool way to let guys in the dugout have some fun.
When the stars of the show are having fun, so are the fans and that matters a lot.
Now, MLB is taking advantage of this and has introduced a special award for the upcoming Home Run Derby.

MLB Life has posted a short video of a chain that will be awarded to the winner of the 2023 Home Run Derby.
The shiny piece says “Derby Champ 2023” and will sure look great on whoever can show he can hit more dingers than the competition.
After last year’s heroics by Julio Rodriguez, and Juan Soto’s victory, the pool of participants for Monday’s affair is ready.
Eight of the most powerful men in baseball will compete for the chain and the recognition from the whole world.
The brackets are set: Luis Robert Jr. will go against Adley Rutschman, Adolis Garcia will compete against Randy Arozarena, Mookie Betts will go toe to toe with Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Julio Rodriguez will face two-time champ Pete Alonso.
Who will win the chain this time?
How many home runs will be hit on Monday in Seattle?
We can’t wait to find out.
The competition will serve as a preview of Tuesday’s All-Star Game, to be played at T-Mobile Park.
