With the Chicago White Sox well out of postseason contention after being expected to have a much better season, everything is now on the table.
In fact, there is a strong possibility that star shortstop and franchise-fixture Tim Anderson could be traded at next week’s official deadline.
Anderson, who is a free agent at the end of the season, has won a Silver Slugger Award and a batting title during his time with the White Sox.
On MLB Network, insider Jon Morosi predicted three potential trade destinations for the two-time All-Star and discussed how he would fit with each team if he is indeed dealt.

Morosi noted that Anderson is one of the more interesting players on the trading block right now, due to the fact that he is heating up after a tough start to the season.
He predicted that he’ll garner more interest if he is able to play second base in addition to shortstop, just as he did in the World Baseball Classic.
Morosi then noted three potential suitors for the former batting champion, those being the Toronto Blue Jays, San Francisco Giants, and the Seattle Mariners.
All three teams have potential openings at the second base position.
Toronto already has Bo Bichette as their shortstop, while the Giants have Brandon Crawford, and the Mariners have J.P. Crawford.
But as Morosi notes, Anderson becomes all the more appealing if he can slot in at second base and make himself a little more versatile.
He’ll be an interesting player to watch at the trade deadline.
