The Baltimore Orioles surprised everybody in 2022 after losing 110 games the previous year and ultimately emerging as a contender in the American League.
In fact, they won 83 games and only finished three games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for the final Wild Card spot.
Much of their success was due in large part to their young core, which features stars such as Adley Rutschman and Gunnar Henderson, both of whom were called up last season.
This season, they have promoted players such as Grayson Rodriguez, Jordan Westburg, and Colton Cowser to the big leagues, with several other young stars waiting in the wings.
On Twitter, Jeff Passan of ESPN pointed out that the future in Baltimore is quite bright.
In the last year, the Orioles have promoted Adley Rutschman, Gunnar Henderson, Grayson Rodriguez, Jordan Westburg and now Colton Cowser to the big leagues. And they've still got Jackson Holliday, Coby Mayo, Heston Kjerstad, Samuel Basallo and more coming. A ridiculous system.

The Orioles do indeed have a bright future.
With all the young stars who have already emerged, there are still more down in the minors such as Jackson Holliday, Coby Mayo, Heston Kjerstad, Samuel Basallo, and others.
Right now, the Orioles own a record of 50-35.
That’s the fourth-best record in all of baseball.
They also are just five games back of the Rays, who lead the American League East and own the second-best record in the league.
Again, much of this is thanks in large part to their young core, which is only growing stronger.
Needless to say, the future in Baltimore is quite bright.
No longer are the Orioles a rebuilding team.
Instead, they are now a legitimate postseason contender and have the potential to be one of baseball’s best teams.
