Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera is enjoying his farewell tour around the league.
He is entering retirement after the World Series ends and has gotten many showings of love and admiration in multiple stadiums, from gifts to standing ovations.
The calendar allowed him to say goodbye to the league at home, in Comerica Park, and he is really enjoying his last homestand.
Against Kansas City Royals pitching, Cabrera hit his fourth home run of the season on Wednesday.
Fans present at the stadium went crazy after watching Miggy’s 106-mph laser to right-center, and he was all joy during his home run trot.

Cabrera’s power has completely abandoned him at this point: he is 40, with a bad back and a lot of innings played.
It’s not a coincidence that he is having one of the worst statistical seasons of his career at .255/.316/.345, with a .661 OPS.
Fate, however, allowed him to hit a home run in his last homestand and fans really enjoyed it.
It helps that he got to face Royals pitching, sure, but Cabrera put on a good swing that had us all reminiscing better, more productive days.
He has been one of the best Tigers players of all time, and currently has 511 home runs, 624 doubles, and 3,170 hits.
Add those totals to his .900 career OPS, two MVP awards, his 2012 Triple Crown, and his 2003 World Series (and multiple Silver Slugger awards) and you have all the ingredients a future Hall of Famer should have.
That’s the place that’s really waiting for him five years from now: Cooperstown.
