Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera is about to retire.
His farewell tour has included some cool gifts, standing ovations, hugs, and the respect of fans all over the country and the world.
However, his true farewell party is about to start.
On Tuesday, Cabrera and the Tigers will play their final homestand of the season at Comerica Park.
That’s the place Cabrera has called home for the past 16 years, since coming over from the Florida Marlins (now Miami Marlins) in a trade before the 2008 season.
The league is hyping the Tigers’ last homestand as one last party at Miggy’s house.

Starting on Tuesday, the Tigers will play six games at home to wrap up their season: three against the Kansas City Royals, and three against the Cleveland Guardians.
Fans, of course, are hyped.

Fans are eager to celebrate Cabrera’s fantastic career, one that includes 510 home runs, 3,168 hits, 624 doubles, a .306/.382/.518 hitting line, and a .900 OPS.
He has won two MVP awards, four batting titles, a World Series trophy, and the hitting Triple Crown in 2012.
Feels like yesterday when Miggy chased down the triple crown.

Cabrera also has seven Silver Slugger awards for his offensive excellence.
Fans will likely fill Comerica Park, as they don’t want to miss the goodbye of the man that almost single-handedly took them to the 2012 World Series.
I will there Saturday

He has been feeding off the positive energy he has gotten at the stadiums around the country and on social media.
Lets go Miggy! Such an amazing player

Cabrera will try to give Comerica Park a proper sendoff: it’s a venue that always suits him well as his 190 home runs and .932 OPS there suggest.

Next up for him is the Hall of Fame: barring something really unexpected, he will be there the first time he is eligible.
